Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, who went to the house of former governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, have been attacked by hoodlums.
The EFCC operatives were at the house of the former governor as a result of an ongoing investigation after the sum of N9.9billion was allegedly traced to one of his accounts.
However, the officials got more than they bargained for as hoodlums blocked their exit from Ambode’s house. The windscreen to the Toyota Hummer bus they came in was shattered by the angry hoodlums.
Shots had to be fired in the air before the EFCC officials could escape.
