Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has named Southhampton’s James Ward-Prowse as the best corner kick taker in the English Premier League.
This was after his side recorded a 6-1 victory last week against Southhampton.
Speaking about his side’s performance, Guardiola said, “We played excellently, without and especially with the ball,” he told BBC Sport.
“We were aggressive in the final third, but we were lucky to score the goal in the last minute of the first half (through Sterling).
“The game was not over, because we conceded. Southampton created more chances than most teams this season.”
On the threat their opponent posed:
“The team showed me some signals that in some positions we are not stable enough.
“We played with the ball so good but not without the ball. We were not stable behind. We conceded a lot of corner kicks, with the best taker in the league [James Ward-Prowse] like Southampton had,” Guardiola added.
