Gov. Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti has expressed condolences to Mr Femi Bamisile, Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA), and his siblings on the death of their mother, Mrs Victoria Bamisile.
In a statement issued on Sunday by Mr Yinka Oyebode, his Special Adviser on Media, Oyebanji expressed his condolences.
The deceased, who died on Thursday at the age of 82, was described by the governor as a loving, dutiful, and prayerful mother.
According to Oyebanji, late Bamishile was a respected community leader and a mother figure to many, and she had a positive impact on many people in her community.
The governor stated that given the deceased’s exemplary life of service, her departure should be marked by a massive celebration of a life well-lived in the service of God and humanity.
Oyebanji said the exemplary life of late Bamisile, should be a source of consolation to her children.
The governor,who said the deceased would be missed for her counsel, motherly care and generosity of spirit, prayed for the repose of her soul.
“Mama has done her best. She fought a good fight of faith and has gone to have a well-deserved rest.
” I urge my brothers and the entire family to take solace in the fact mama lived a remarkable life of service to God and humanity and that she witnessed her children attain great height,”he said.
He prayed that God should grant Rep. Bamishile and others she left behind the fortitude to bear the loss.(NAN)
