Head coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Gernot Rohr, has revealed his biggest headache he’s faced since taking of the job.
Speaking on Monday Night football, Rohr described the experience with Carl Ikeme and his sickness as quite painful and heart breaking.
“If there is one thing I would say gave me the greatest headache, it was the sickness of Carl Ikeme, it was very disappointing,” he said.I
keme who contributed a great deal to Nigeria’s qualification for the last World Cup in Russia, was however not included in the final 24 man squad.
The 32-year-old was diagnosed with acute leukaemia just before the start of the World Cup, which forced him out of both national and club assignments.
