FFK, other Nigerians attack Kumuyi for warning them against Buhari
Femi Fani-Kayode, FFK, has reacted to a statement by the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministries, Pastor W.F Kumuyi, concerning Christians attacking President Buhari.
Criticisms have been high concerning the administration of President Buhari over the persecution of Christians especially those in the northern part of the Nigeria.
Christians have been suffering from onslaughts by Boko Haram terrorists and Fulani Herdsmen which has led to cries from adherents of the faith, especially concerning how the administration is handling the situation.
However, Pastor Kumuyi feels different as he urged Christians via a sermon yesterday to submit to the authority God has given them.
The cleric, who read from Biblical passage, I Peter 2: 11-25, said that Christians lifestyle must reflect Christ in a civil society, saying that governments derive their authority from God.
“Don’t attack the President of the country whether in words or in the newspapers or through [the] internet,” the pastor said.
“Honour kings; don’t disrespect or dishonour the governors. Don’t disrespect leaders of the community and leaders in the church.
“If we are to honour the governors in the states, how much more the Pastors.”
Reacting to the statement by the clergy man, FFK shares:
“Don’t attack Buhari”- Kumuyi.
God deliver us from shepherds that slaughter the sheep, that defend the cruel, that support injustice, that love the wicked, that serve the tyrant, that despise the weak, that enslave the poor and that worship genocidal maniacs and sociopathic butchers”.
