Femi Fani-Kayode and Honorable Akin Alabi have laid their mind bare on Abba Kyari taking the bill for the amended Deep Offshore Act to London for President Buhari to sign.
Since the news of the signing broke out, many Nigerians have aired their views against it.
They wonder why the bill was taking yi London when the vice president could have easily signed it here.
Some of the prominent Nigerians who shared on social media include Fani-Kayode and Akin Alabi.
On his Twitter page, Fani-Kayode wrote: “How do you describe a VP that insists on remaining in office after his boss refuses to hand over power to him when he goes on leave and instead gets his Chief of Staff to fly over to London to sign legislative bills into law?
“If your boss can’t trust you, why are you still there?
According to Akin Alabi, “whether you like it or not, in a presidential system of government (eg, US, Nigeria), the post of the Chief of Staff is more “powerful” than that of the Vice President. He is the assistant President. The Vice President is a stand in for the president”.
