#EndSARS: We must get rid of the bad eggs in Nigeria police –Gbajabiamila

Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker of the House of Representative, says the bad eggs in the Nigeria Police Force, NPF, need to be cut out to restore the good force name from the bad tag the society now gives the security outfit.

The speaker said this in Abuja on Thursday while opening the public hearing the summit on the Police Service Commission Act (Repeal and Re-Enactment) Bill 2020 and the National Institute for Police Studies (Establishment) Bill 2020

Gbajabiamila said though there are many good officers and men of the NPF, the bad ones are causing problems for the security agency.

The PSC Act amendment bill was birthed following the nationwide #EndSARS protests, where the House had proposed many reforms in the police system.

Mohammed Dingyadi, Miniter of Police Affairs, Musiliu Smith (retd.) the Chairman, PSC, DIG and the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, and other service representatives chiefs were present at the meeting.

In his opening remark, Usman Kumo, Chairman of the committee, urged the stakeholders to make their position known in other to guide the lawmakers on the proposed law.
