The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has commiserated with the Belgore family over the demise of Hajia Maryam Belgore, on Sunday.
Sulu-Gambari also condoled with Mohammed Belgore (SAN) and his sister, Bilqees Belgore, over the loss of their mother.
This is contained in a condolence message issued by the Emir’s spokesman, Mallam AbdulAzeez Arowona.
The Emir, also the Chairman Kwara Council of Chiefs, said Maryam lived a fulfilled, enviable and productive life, worthy of emulation.
He said that the deceased was the wife of the Wali of Ilorin, late Justice Babatunde Mahmud-Belgore, who retired as the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court.
He said she distinguished herself and nurtured her children to become highly respected legal practitioners in the nation.
“She was such a wonderful woman who mentored younger generations of females to be hardworking, dutiful and supportive in their families and society at large.
“May Almighty Allah forgive her shortcomings, accept her good deeds and admit her into Al-Janatul Firdaus,” the emir prayed. (NAN)
