EFCC gives update on Bawa

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has given update on the condition of its Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa who slumped this afternoon at the Banquet Hall Villa in Abuja.

The commission in a statement released on Thursday afternoon said the EFCC Boss is “hale and hearty”.

The commission said it was imperative that it clarify the public following the incident that happened earlier today where Bawa who was delivering a goodwill message to the National Identity Day Celebration slumped and was rushed out of the hall.

The statement also revealed that the EFFC Chairman has since been given medical attention.

The statement titled, ‘Bawa Is Hale and Hearty – EFCC’, reads; “The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa is hale and hearty.

This clarification became necessary following an incident today September 16, 2021 at the Presidential Villa, Abuja where he was giving a goodwill message to the National Identity Day celebration, felt unwell and had to return to his seat.

 “He has since received medical attention and is due back at his desk.”
