President Muhammadu Buhari will as from today, June 6, embark on a
10-day vacation to see his doctor, in London, United Kingdom.
Asides using the trip to see an E.N.T (Ear. Nose. Throat) Specialist
in London, the President is also expected to use the period to rest.
Premium Times recently reported that the President was suffering from an ear infection which has limited his public outings and official assignments in the past few weeks.
Following the publication of the report, the Presidency released a statement, saying that the President is as fit as a fiddle and that the report is a figment of the writer’s imagination.
The same presidency on Sunday, released a press statement, announcing
the 10-day vacation of President Buhari and a prospective visit to his
doctor.
“During the holiday, he will see an E.N.T. specialist for a
persistent ear infection”, says Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser on
Media and Publicity to the President.
“The President was examined by his Personal Physician and an E.N.T
Specialist in Abuja and was treated. Both Nigerian doctors recommended
further evaluation purely as a precaution”, the statement added.
