Don’t Get Mad Get Even: Toyin Abraham, Femi Jacobs battle for true love

Today,  Friday, October 4, the movie  Don´t Get Mad Get Even” hit cinemas Nation wide and of course, Ella Chioma of Kemi Filani News joined the first set of people to see the movie.

Yes, so we can let out loyal readers know if it’s worth their N2000.

Don’t Get Mad Get Even is a star studded movie, that was the first selling point, kudos to Wale Ojo, the director and Raphael Dedenuola, the producer.
It was a mixture of veteran actors and newbies in the industry

Rated 18, because of the consistent use of adult words, the movie is a gripping story about two brothers, Jaiye (Yemi Sholade) and Juwon (Femi Jacobs) Kuti.

Their relationship becomes estranged when the younger brother, Juwon, dropped out of school to pursue a music career. The elder brother, Jaiye, goes on to become a university professor.

The film revolves around their conflicting lifestyles. Both brothers are complete opposites with nothing in common.

Toyin Abraham who played the Igbo Babymama of Juwon did an excellent job protecting the rights and sanity of ladies society ridicules as Baby Mamas’.

Seeing the combination of Ayo Adesanya, Nancy Isimi, Etinosa, Ashley Stephanie in a movie fighting for love, keeps you glued to the screen.

Kenneth Okoli and Adeyemi Akalawon, the close friends and special advisers to Juwon,

Lastly, the veterans Jide Kosoko, Patience Ozokwor, Saidi Balogun gave their scenes the professional touches needed.
Although the movie lingered a bit and almost lost its grip on the audience, we love the way it ended, especially for Femi Jacobs and Toyin Abraham.

Topical societal issues were addressed and solutions proffered.

It was such a happy ending.
N2000 well spent!
