Corpse of unidentified driver found in Akure
The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed the killing of a man whose identity is unknown in Akure, Ondo State.
SP. Olufumilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, the command’s spokesman, confirmed the incident to reporters in Akure on Tuesday.
He stated that the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) at Oba-ile police station, as well as his men, had gone to the scene of the incident.
Odunlami-Omisanya stated that the body had been examined and transported to the mortuary at the specialist hospital in Akure.
“Preliminary findings showed that the man was said to be a driver from Idanre Local Government Area of Ondo state,” he said
A source had told newsmen that the corpse of the man was dumped and found around Benin motor park.
He said that the man must have been allegedly killed by suspected ritualists as some parts of his body were cut off. (NAN)
