Hollywood celebrities are now even more in awe of Angelina Jolie. The actress, who is known as
one of the most beautiful women in the world, announced in a New York Times op-ed piece on May 14 that she had spent the past
three months removing her breasts after learning that she had an 87 percent
chance of developing the disease like her own mother did.
Earlier today, it was all over the news that Angelina Jolie removed her two breasts to avoid breast cancer! Angelina wrote about why she decided to do this in a

mastectomy was not easy,” she wrote. “But it is one I am very happy that I
made. My chances of developing breast cancer have dropped from 87 percent to
under 5 percent. I can tell my children that they don’t need to fear they will
lose me to breast cancer.”

Angelina’s mother, Marcheline Bertrand, died at the age of
56 in 2007 after a long battle with breast cancer.
