A federal high court in Abuja has struck out a case of certificate forgery against the governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki.
The suit was filed by plaintiffs listed as Edobor Williams, Ugbesia Abudu Godwin and Amedu Dauda Anakhu.
The suit required the court to prevent Obaseki from participating in the September 19 governorship election in Edo State.
They based their grouse on an alleged certificate of Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Classical Studies which was obtained by Obaseki from the University of Ibadan.
Their absence and that of the defendant forced Justice Anwuli Chiekere to strike out the case.
