The judgment of the Federal High Court in Abuja led by Justice Taiwo Oladipupo Taiwo on Governor Ben Ayade’s defection from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC, has been placed on hold.
This was after the attention of the Court was drawn by Ayade’s counsel, Mike Ozekhome, to a judgment of the Court of Appeal delivered in Enugu.
This forced the Court which was supposed to deliver a judgment today to call for the implication of the Enugu appellate Court’s judgment.
According to the Judge, Ozekhome is to make a case for Ayade which will have to be followed by the lawyer of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
It is however not clear whether Justice Taiwo will proceed with a judgment on the case on the meantime.
