Mr. Abdullahi Lado of the All Progress Congress (APC) lost his re-election bid for the Suleja, Tafa, and Gurara Federal Constituency to Tanko Adamu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Lado is the current member representing the Suleja/Tafa/Gurara Federal Constituency.
While announcing the results, the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) Returning Officer, Tainmu Garba, stated that the PDP candidate received 40,632 votes, defeating the APC candidate who received 38,217 votes.
Garba was declared the winner of the PDP candidate after meeting the legal requirements and being re-elected.
Other contestants included George James of the ADC, who received 344 votes, Ibrahim Ibrahim of the ADP, who received 231 votes, Tanko Ahmed of the APGA, who received 979 votes, Yusufu Muhammed of the APP, who received 94 votes, and the candidate of the Labour Party, who received 19,219 votes.
Also, candidate of NNPP scored 1,255, NRM got 101, PRP scored 145, SDP got 46 and Isah Jagaba of ZLP scored 297 votes.
In the same vein, Alhaji Abdullahi Maud of the All Progress Congress (APC) has been declared winner of Agaie/Lapai Federal Constituency.
Maud polled 29,671 votes to defeat his closest opponent of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate who scored 25,439 and candidate of NNPP got 2,157 votes. (NAN)
