Alhaji Sha’ayau Sarkinfawa, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara, has urged residents to vote for Sen. Bola Tinubu as Nigeria’s next president.
Sarkinfawa also urged them to vote for the party’s candidate for Zamfara West Senatorial District and former governor of the state, Alhaji Abdul’aziz Yari, as well as all APC candidates in the upcoming general elections.
He made the call on Thursday while speaking to APC supporters in Talata-Mafara town, Talata-Mafara Local Government Area of the state.
“Tinubu and Yari deserve to be elected considering their past records of masses-oriented developmental projects as former governors of their respective states,” he said.
Sarkinfawa also called on people of the state to vote for Gov. Bello Matawalle for a second term and APC candidates at all levels.
He urged: ”Matawalle should be voted for a second term because of his efforts in maintaining peace, stability and massive development across the state.
Sarkinfawa, who predicted victory of the party in the upcoming polls, said the state remained a stronghold of APC.
“I don’t think we have any political party that can defeat APC in Zamfara when it comes to election matters.
“The APC has been on ground in Zamfara over the years, almost 90 per cent of our past leaders are in APC.
“All the APC candidates are competent hands, we trust them, we have confidence in them, we believe they will deliver effectively if we give them the mandates,” he added.
According to him, the APC-led administration in the state had done a lot in terms of infrastructure and human capital development.
Sarkinfawa said: ”I don’t think any political party is significant with APC in Zamfara.”
Sarkinfawa called on APC members in the state especially the youths to remain law abiding during the polls. (NAN)
