Anthony Joshua has accepted to take on Deontay Wilder in a fight which he says can happen tomorrow if offered $50m. This is coming on the hills of the British-Nigerian’s victory over Joseph Parker.
Anthony Joshua who currently holds the IBF, WBA and WBO belts says the fight is a much needed one adding that the only issue on ground involves negotiations.
Joshua says his team has made offers to Deontay Wilder’s camp but admits they are still awaiting a response. “If it is a $100m fight and they are happy with taking 60-40, I’ll take 50-50. Give me $50m dollars up front and I swear I’ll take that fight tomorrow,” Joshua told Sky Sports.
Deontay Wilder’s team will make a counter offer to Anthony Joshua within the next 48 hours and have raised doubts about the fight if the unified champion does not accept the revised deal.
The WBC king this week rejected a fee for a world heavyweight title fight against Joshua, but the American’s backers will respond with their own offer to the British star’s promoter, Eddie Hearn.
