Another lady found dead in Benue

Barely two weeks after an online vendor, Joy Onoh Ogochuckwu was killed by supposed clients who asked her to deliver some clothes, and her body dumped at a bush in North Bank area of Makurdi, another lady has been found dead in the Benue State Capital.

KemiFilaniNews gathered that the body of a yet to be identified lady was discovered along Old Bridge Makurdi in the early hours of Sunday by some passers-by who alerted the Police.

An eyewitness who confirmed the incident to our correspondent said the body of the yet-to-be identified lady has been evacuated by the Police.

“A lady was found dead along Makurdi old bridge this morning. The identity of the lady was yet to be ascertained. But her body has been evacuated by men of the Benue State Police Command,” the eyewitness told KemiFilaniNew.

The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, of Benue State Police Command, DSP Catherine Anene, did not respond to calls put to her telephone line by our correspondent.

Meanwhile, KemiFilaniNews reported that a lady who claimed to be the girlfriend of the suspected killer of slain Benue online vendor, Joy Onoh Ogochuckwu, has cried out to the family of the victim that the ghost of the late Joy is tormenting her.

The lady who gave her name simply as Martha confessed that her boyfriend, Matthew, strangled the late vendor in her room after inviting to deliver some cloths.

According to Martha, in a recorded telephone conversation released by a family member of the late Joy, she wasn’t around when her boyfriend committed the crime.

She claimed she was in the market and when got home, her boyfriend had already killed Joy and gave her Joy’s phone and her bag which has some cash inside with the cloths she came to sell and asked her to run to the village.

Two suspects have been arrested in connection to the killing of Joy Onoh Ogochukwu.
