Amaju Pinnick to commison France Vs Belgium world cup semi-final match

President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, will be match commissioner for the 2018 FIFA World Cup first semi final match between France and Belgium in Saint Petersburg tomorrow. The game will be the fifth Amaju Pinnick would commission at the finals in Russia. It will kick-off 7pm Nigerian time and will be at the 67,000-capacity Zenit Arena.
The game will see some of the finest legs in football slug it out with one another: France’s Paul Pogba, Antoine Griezmann and Kylian Mbappe, and Belgium’s Romelo Lukaku, Kevin De Bruyne and Eden Hazard. Pinnick’s appearance will be the first time a Nigerian is involved at such high level of operation at the FIFA World Cup.
Amaju Pinnick was also the Match Commissioner of the quarter final clash between France and Uruguay which the Blues won.

Recently, the NFF president has been embattled with his position facing threats. Last week, a directive was given by the federal government through the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development asking him to step down from his position as NFF chairman.
However, the past week wasn’t all that bad for Pinnick as he got appointed as the new first vice president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF). The appointment came few weeks after Kwesi Nyantakyi of the Ghana Football Federation resigned after a video showed him taking bribe.
