The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Adeboye has once again warned single men and women against getting a spouse via social media.
While speaking on marriage and family during the April 2018 Holy Ghost Service, themed ‘stronger than your enemies 4’, the clergyman emphasized the need to do a background check on whom one intends to spend the rest of one’s life with.
It may be recalled that this is not the first time the man of God will give this warning as he had earlier done so in April 2017 while he discussed on the increasing rate of marital crisis and in the country.
Adeboye had said;
“Any marriage that is concocted through the Facebook is going to crash through the Youtube. No doubt about that.”
Speaking further on Friday, April 6,2018, the cleric made reference to the scriptures, (Ezekiel 16: 44, and John 8: 44.
He further emphasized on the spiritual relationship/connection between parents and children, adding that the sins and blessings of the father can affect the children.
“If the parents are of the Lord the Lord will continue to bless them and their children will not beg for food.” Adeboye said.
The monthly programme was attended by many Nigerian residents in Lagos and its environs.
