    By Oreva BenedictMarch 29, 2022
    NRC suspends trains

The Nigeria Railway Corporation, NRC, on Tuesday suspended its services along the Abuja-Kaduna rail due to “unforeseen circumstances”.

NRC confirmed this development in a terse statement on its Twitter page.

This is coming after bandits blew up train rails and attacked the 6pm train heading to Kaduna from Abuja.

Many are feared kidnapped, while others sustained injury during the attack.

“Dear passengers, due to unforeseen circumstances, trainoperations along the Abuja-Kaduna route has been temporarily suspended.

“Further communication would be given in due course,” the statement read.

This comes two days after armed gangs invaded Kaduna International Airport, killing aviation workers and leaving many others wounded.
