Abia State government has announced its plans to conduct examinations for Directors in the State’s civil service interested in being appointed Permanent Secretaries.
In a statement on Thursday, Abia State Head of Service Joy Maduka said the examination will take place on Saturday at the Women Development Centre, Umuahia, at 12:noon after the end of registration.
The government noted that the examination is open for interested Directors who must have served at least two years as Abia State civil service directors.
It added that the interested Directors who qualify for the examination have served below eight years as Directors.
Kemi Filani News reports that Abia State civil service has been undergoing significant shake-ups since June 2023, starting from the suspension of the former Head of Service, Onyii Wamah and other Perm Secretaries by Governor Alex Otti.
