Zamfara schoolgirls of Government Secondary School in Jangebe, Zamafara State, have reportedly been released.
The recently released schoolgirls are at the Emir of Anka waiting for transportation to Gusau, the state capital s at the time of filing this report.
A verified source informed newsmen that the bandits had accepted their terms of negotiation, and the release of the kidnapped schoolgirls might happen soon, and “they may be in Gusau today.”
It was reported that the kidnapped schoolgirls on Friday took to the forest by the bandits who wore security personnel uniforms to disguise their true identity.
An anonymous source told newsman that the girls were kept in between Dangulbi and Sabon Birnin Banaga in the Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
This is the latest kidnapping incident that occurred in the North in the past weeks.
Bandits had kidnapped a good number of pupils and workers of the Government Science College in Kangara, Niger State.
The abducted persons were released on Saturday.
