A 72 year-old woman slumped and died while
waiting to cast her vote at Kaganda primary school polling station, Kenya in the early hours of today.
According to Kenyan express, the
elderly woman had arrived at the polling station at 4am…but after queueing for a long period of time, suddenly slumped and breathed her last.
It was also reported that a young man died
at Hardy polling station in Karen Constituency, Nairobi County. According to sources, the man collapsed and died after standing
for long hours at the polling station waiting to cast his vote. The man had not earlier on shown any signs of
illness and is said to have only complained of the scotching sun. Apparently the man got a heart attack and succumbed to it as
voters and security officers rushed him to hospital where he was pronounced
dead on arrival.
