Moses Adekunle, 30, Saheed Moshood, 35, Abiodun Olarenwaju, 35, and Dele Faremi, 53, appeared in an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan on Thursday for allegedly stealing building materials.
The four, whose addresses were not disclosed, were charged with conspiracy and theft.
Mr Philip Amusan, the Prosecutor, told the court that the defendants allegedly committed the crime on March 13, around 10:00 a.m., in the vicinity of Olorunsogo, Molete area, Ibadan.
Amusan claimed that on that date, the four and others at large stole building materials such as iron rods, bags of cement worth N652, 500, and binding wires worth N54, 000.
He said the materials belonged to one Habeeb Raji while the offences contravened the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Magistrate, Mrs O. A Akande, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N100, 000 each with one surety in like sum.
She adjourned the case until May 15 for hearing. (NAN)
