The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, received a former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godsday Orubebe and senators elected under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Thursday.
These two visits happened two days after Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi and Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed visited Wike at his residence in Port Harcourt on Tuesday.
Wike received Orubebe, who recently resigned from the PDP in Rumuepirikom, his country home in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state.
According to PUNCH, a Government House source said Senate Minority Leader Philip Aduda, Senate Minority Whip Chukwuka Utazi; Shuaibu Lau, Danjuma La’ah and Barry Mpigi arrived at the governor’s residence some minutes past 3 pm.
The source added that the senators immediately went into a closed door with their host.
The outcome of the separate meetings were, however, not made public.
