UPDATE: Joe Igbokwe deletes post of ‘Wike visiting Tinubu in France’

Tinubu and Wike

The Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Drainage and Water Resources, Joe Igbokwe, has deleted the post claiming Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike visited the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, in France.

The Facebook post, which was a surprise to many, was pulled down after some Social Media users dismissed Igbokwe’s claim and demanded pictorial evidence.

KEMI FILANI NEWS had earlier reported that Igbokwe, on his Facebook page, had posted that Wike, who lost the Peoples Democratic Party, presidential ticket to former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, visited Tinubu in France.

Igbokwe, a strong ally of Tinubu wrote, “While they are on social media abusing everybody, Governor Wike goes to France to meet Asiwaju.

“Abuse, calling names, hate, and bigotry are no strategy. They hated and abused PMB (President Muhammadu Buhari) since 2015, and now they have transferred the aggression to Asiwaju. We wait and see.”

However, moments after Igbokwe’s post went viral, the post was no longer found on his page.

Igbokwe’s claim is coming amid speculations that Wike may dump the PDP due to the fallout over the party’s presidential primary and failure of the party’s presidential standard-bearer, Atiku Abubakar, to pick Wike as his running mate for the 2023 general elections.

However, Wike disclosed on Tuesday that he was in Turkey, alongside his Abia counterpart, Okezie Ikpeazu, for a “much-needed vacation.”

None of the camps of the two leading political figures have reacted to Ogbokwe’s claim as at the time of filling this report.
