Soludo signs revised 2022 budget for Anambra

Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Soludo, has signed the 2022 Revised Appropriation Bill of 169.6 billion naira into Law.

According to a statement made available to newsmen, the Governor assented to the Budget on Thursday, July 20, 2022, at the Government House, Awka.

The Budget had been passed by the Honourable Members of the State House of Assembly on July 15, 2022, after nearly two months Soludo presented the Revised Budget to the Legislators for approval,

According to the statement, Soludo hailed the spirited efforts, commitment and integrity of the Honorable Members in seeing for a thorough scrutiny and prudence passage of the Budget.

The statement continued, “On the part of the financing plan, Governor Soludo has expressed happiness, that Members of the House of Assembly graciously approved his 100 billion naira loan request. Just as the budget is tagged: “taking off from the blocks”, Soludo moved to borrowing to finance CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURES because ndi-Anambra cannot wait to feel, touch and see the Liveable homeland.

“Out of the 250 billion naira required per annum to fill the Anambra’s infrastructure gap, the Soludo’s administration have settled for 100 billion naira which is expected to rollover to next year’s budget.

“The journey towards a Liveable and prosperous homeland has only just begun and ndi-Anambra will get value for every kobo of this budget.”
