Sokoto police alert residents of shooting range exercise

The Sokoto State Police Command has alerted residents of the state of a shooting range exercise which would effectively commence from Monday, June 13, to Friday, June 18, 2022.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Sanusi Abubakar, who disclosed this in a statement said the exercise would take place along the Kware-Illela road.
The statement partly read; “Sokoto State Police Command wishes to inform all residents in the state that the command will embark on a shooting range exercise from Monday, June 13 to Friday, June 18, 2022, between 0600hrs and 1800hrs at the Army range ground along Kware-Illelah road.
“In view of this, the command uses this medium to notify all and sundry to stay away and should not panic, especially residents in the following villages: Gidan Yamma, Mashedi, and Tsire villages along the Kware-Illelah road.
“While reiterating our commitment to sustaining peace in the state, we call on members of the public to cooperate with the police in this gesture.”
