The Senate has adjourned plenary to enable it to embark on a 19-day recess for the forthcoming Sallah break.
The Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, who announced this on Wednesday, revealed July 19, 2022, as the resumption date.
KEMI FILANI NEWS had reported that the Senate confirmed the seven ministerial nominees sent to the Red Chamber by President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday.
Recall that the federal lawmakers had only sat six times after their long recess for the primary elections of their political parties.
The Senators sat twice weekly for three weeks after their resumption on June 14.
Prior then, the Senate had, on May 11, embarked on a five-week break to participate in the political parties primaries for the 2023 general elections.
