PDP reacts as Adeleke wins Osun governorship election

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has reacted to the victory of its candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke, in the Osun State governorship election.

KEMI FILANI NEWS had earlier reported that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declared Adeleke the Osun gubernatorial election winner.

The returning officer for the election, Prof Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, announced that Adeleke scored 403,371 votes to defeat the incumbent Governor Gboyega Oyetola, who polled 375,027.

Reacting to Adeleke’s victory, PDP, via its verified Twitter page, described it as a ‘New Dawn.’

The tweet read: “INEC has declared our Guber Candidate, Adeleke as the winner of the 2022 Governorship Election in Osun State. Adeleke defeated the @OfficialAPCNg Candidate, Gboyega Oyetola, with 403,371 votes. It’s a new dawn! Imole De.”
