Pastor Tunde Bakare of Citadel Global Community Church has broken silence after getting zero votes from delegates at the just-concluded presidential primary of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
The primary was won by former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, who polled 1,271 votes to emerge as the party’s flagbearer.
Bakare who was one of the aspirants that paid N100 million to purchase the presidential form, in reaction to the outcome, praised himself for his conduct during the election.
According to the clergyman, he’s glad that he showed character by not inducing the delegates with money.
”I am happy that I have passed the test of character by not paying any delegate. I passed the test of courage, by speaking the truth in the midst of wolves and the test of conviction by standing true to my beliefs.
“Those who will make a difference must be different,“ he was quoted by The Nation.
