Dr Nicholas Audifferen, Chief Personal Physician to the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, has said the latter suffered right femur fracture.
Osinbajo who had been hospitalised to enable him to undergo surgery was recently discharged.
According to Audifferen, the vice president is currently recuperating following the surgical operation.
He tweeted, “After the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, SAN was admitted in the Duchess International Hospital last Saturday, July 16, 2022, on account of a right femur fracture, he had corrective surgery without any complications
“He was admitted for a total of 7 days during which he had physiotherapy and a smooth rehabilitation following the surgical operation. He has been fully discharged and is now recuperating.”
Expressing gratitude, Osinbajo took to social media with photos he took with some of the staff of Duchess International Hospital where he had the surgery.
He wrote, “My deep gratitude to everyone for your get-well wishes and prayers following my surgery.
“And special appreciation to the amazing team of surgeons, doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, and the management of the Duchess International Hospital Lagos, for providing such excellent care.”
