The Labour Party has announced the appointment of Prof Akin Oshintokun as the Director General of the Obi-Datti Campaign Council.
Oshintokun’s appointment followed the resignation of Doyin Okupe who left the position after a court convicted him of violating money laundering Act.
According to the Labour Party, the appointment was announced by the National Chairman, Julius Abure, at the party’s National Working Committee meeting.
The party tweeted, “Prof. Akin Oshuntokun appointed new DG for Obi/Baba-Ahmed ticket. Chairman of @NgLabour, Comrade Julius Abure, made the announcement today, 27 Dec., 2022 at the Party NWC meeting with candidates, state party chairmen and state PCC Coordinators.”
Oshintokun is former aide to President Olusegun Obasanjo.
