The New British Prime Minister, Liz Truss, has appointed Nigeria-born Kemi Badenoch as a member of her team in a cabinet reshuffle.
Truss appointed Badenoch as the Secretary of State for International Trade and President of the Board of Trade.
The appointment was announced via the verified Twitter page of the UK Prime Minister, @10DowningStreet, on Tuesday.
Recall that Truss succeeded Boris Johnson after polling 81,326 votes against her rival, former Finance Minister Rishi Sunak, who garnered 60,399 votes.
Johnson resigned in July as PM and Conservative Party Leader.
