My administration committed to transformation of Imo – Uzodinma

Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has said his administration is committed to the ideals of good governance and quality transformation of the state.

Uzodinma said this in an appreciation message to President Muhammadu Buhari who visited the state on Tuesday to inaugurate some projects.

According to him, the revolution his administration declared gave rise to the projects inaugurated by Buhari following a period of infrastructural deficit.

He said in a statement, “On behalf of the Government and good people of Imo State, I most sincerely express our profound gratitude and appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR for honouring our invitation to commission some completed 3R projects in the State, despite his tight schedules and other pressing national issues.

“My administration has remained committed to the ideals of good governance and quality transformation of our dear State to an enviable status. From reforms on our systems to restoration of transparency in Government, we have rolled out policies that are people-centric and geared towards the betterment of every Imolite.

“The infrastructural deficits of our dear State were so glaring and hindering economic activities. I am glad that the revolution we declared on reconstruction and rehabilitation has given rise to the beauty we are celebrating today.

“The Owerri-Orlu (36km) road and Owerri-Okigwe (55km) road (Phase one), are Federal roads which are of great economic importance to our people. Connecting the entire Imo West and Imo North Senatorial Districts.

“With quality construction on that of Owerri-Orlu, I am satisfied that succour has, at last, gotten to the residents and motorists. For the Owerri-Okigwe road, the contractor is working in line with ecological conditions to complete the project within record time.

“As a Legislator, I understand the need for a conducive atmosphere which offers quality representation of constituents and law-making. Over the years, the Imo State House of Assembly Complex had been abandoned by the legislators due to its dilapidated status.

“This had grossly affected the business of legislation. But for the dedication and commitment of our legislators, we could have encountered a collapsed Government. However, today, we have a new legislative complex, to the glory of God.

“Despite scarce resources, our commitment to the development of our dear State is of paramount importance and therefore, we remain dedicated to it. In no distant time, more projects will be completed. All these wouldn’t have been achieved without the much-appreciated support of Ndi Imo and we continue to transform our dear State.”
