A seven-storey structure ones again collapsed in the early hours of Sunday on Oba Idowu Oniru Street, near Palace Road in Oniru, a reoccurrence of building collapse in Lagos State, and today the commissioner of Physical and Urban Development, development, Dr Idris Salako has officially tendered his resignation letter to the governor.
Even though the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, did not state with emphasis reason for his resignation, he said it was part of the restructuring of the ministry.
“This is a prelude to the restructuring of the Ministry and its agencies.”
In a statement made available by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, announced that Governor Babajifr Sanwo-olu accepted the resignation of the commissioner of physical and Urban development.
“Governor Sanwo-olu thanked the Commissioner for his services to the state and wishes him success in his future endeavours.
“The Governor warns all players in the sector to respect the law or face the consequences of any indiscretion, no matter who the perpetrators are,” the statement read in part.
