Kwara Assembly Speaker, Danladi-Salihu loses father

The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Engr Yakubu Danladi-Salihu has lost his father, Alhaji Salihu Aliyu Gwanara.

Gwanara, a foremost educator and the Tafarikin Borgu of Borgu Kingdom died on Friday and was buried according to Islamic rites on Saturday morning in his hometown in Gwanara.

Alhaji Mohammed Salihu, announced this in a statement on Saturday.

The deceased, who was a councillor in the Old Borgu Kingdom is survived by children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, among them are Alhaji Mohammed Salihu, Alhaji Audu Salihu, and the Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu among others.
