The National Commissioner for Information of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Festus Okoye, has said they will soon release a report about the permanent voter cards (PVCs) discovered in questionable places.
Okoye disclosed this while speaking at a workshop on election reporting on Thursday.
There have been several reports in the past weeks of PVCs found under the ground and those in the possession of certain individuals.
Also in November, the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) claimed 513 national identity cards and PVCs were retrieved from foreigners in Katsina.
“This nation will be shocked.
“Those who have bought PVCs thinking they can influence the result of an election are the ones who are opposed to the use of the BVAS.
“We have made it very clear that if the BVAS cannot capture your fingerprint and face, we will not allow you to vote,” Okoye said.
