Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, officially referred to Governor Dapo Abiodun as the ‘Eleyi of Ogun State’ at an All Progressive Congress, APC, ahead of the weekend’s governorship election.
KEMI FILANI NEWS that the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, while addressing Ogun State APC delegates on June 3 had said it was through his efforts that President Muhammadu Buhari made it to Aso Rock after failing thrice.
Tinubu also pointed at Abiodun whom he described as ‘Eleyi’ absentmindedly as one who he helped to become Ogun State governor.
“Look at this one (Eleyi) seated behind me, Dapo, he wouldn’t have become governor without my support,” Tinubu had stated.
Supporters and stalwarts of the APC were treated to a hilarious session when Tinubu added to the banter by labelling Biodun Oyebanji as the ‘Emi Lokan of Ekiti’ who would perform beyond the expectation of his people.
After Fayemi’s hilarious jab, a blushing Abiodun was seen giggling as party leaders patted him on the back in a jovial manner.
