2023: Atiku emerges PDP presidential candidate at primary election

Atiku kicks against Northern consensus

The former Vice-President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, has won Saturday’s primary election of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He therefore emerges the PDP presidential candidate for the 2023 election.

He won with a total vote of 371 votes

Nyesom Wike- 237
Diana Oliver – 1 vote
Sam Ohuabunwa – 1 vote
Pius Anyim – 14 votes
Udom Emmanuel – 38 votes
Bala Mohammed – 20 votes

In a post on his social media handles after the result was announced on Saturday, Atiku said his focus will be on rebuilding and uniting the country.

“Today, the march to rebuild and unite our great country moves forward. I am honoured to be named the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),” he wrote.

“I look forward to speaking with Nigerians across the country, taking the message of hope and unity as we build one future for one people.”

    Atiku can never unite the country and he will never be president in Nigeria for condemning the barbaric act of stoning a Christian to death and setting her on fire only to backtrack because some people said they will never vote for him! He will never taste presidency in Jesus name, this time again, he shall labour in vain!!!
