APC expels ‘sex toy senator’, Abbo for anti-party activities

APC expels 'sex toy senator' Elisha Abbo

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has expelled a lawmaker representing Adamawa North, Senator Elisha Abbo, for allegedly engaging in anti-party activities.

The APC executives in his local government chapter accused Abbo of tampering with the process of internal democracy of the party.

The controversial ‘sex toy senator’ was expelled for criticising the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on national television.

Recall that Abbo is one of the vociferous dissenting voices against the ruling party’s Muslim-Muslim ticket.

The 13 members of the state executives signed Abbo‘s expulsion letter after its meeting on Friday.

The excos of Mubi North Local Government Area stated that they had reviewed, among other things, the disciplinary committee’s report before deciding to expel him.

The statement partially read, “Consequently, 29 members of the committee have approved the report of the disciplinary committee dated 5th day of October, 2022. Wherefore, expelled Senator Elisha Ishiyahu Abbo, based on the Interview granted on the AIT where he was condemning and criticising the Party presidential flag.”

According to PUNCH, the APC Publicity Secretary for the Adamawa State chapter, Mohammed Abdullahi, said that the matter had not been officially brought to their notice.

Abdullahi noted that much as the ward executives could suspend any erring member, it had no locus standing to expel anyone.
