President Muhammadu Buhari has insisted he will not run for a third term in office.
He stated this while speaking at a bilateral meeting with British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson.
The parley was held on the margins of the 26th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Kigali, Rwanda.
A tweet from one of his media aides, Tolu Ogunlesi, read: “PM Johnson (UK) today asked PMB if he’d run for office again (likely unaware of Nigeria’s 2-term Presidential limit).
“PMB: “Another term for me? No! The first person who tried it didn’t end very well.” (Laughter)
“(1 Answer + 1 Sub. Expect therefore a “letter” soonest, LOL).”
