Reno Omokri, a former special assistant to Nigeria’s former President, Goodluck Jonathan, has said the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is no threat to his counterpart in the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, in the 2023 election.
Omokri said the only threat to PDP’s victory in 2023 is Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, and not Tinubu.
The socio-political activist stated this in a tweet while reacting to the outcome of the Osun governorship election.
KEMI FILANI NEWS had reported that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declared Senator Ademola Adeleke of the PDP the Osun gubernatorial election winner.
The returning officer for the election, Prof Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, announced that Adeleke scored 403,371 votes to defeat the incumbent Governor Gboyega Oyetola, who polled 375,027.
Omokri, an ally of Atiku, said Tinubu, who could not ensure APC’s victory in Osun State, can’t pose a threat to PDP’s victory.
“The only threat to PDP is Kwankwaso. Tinubu is going nowhere. A KNOWN DRUG LORD who can’t win his home state can’t win the whole slate.
“As for the other deluded fellow, in 8 months’ time, he will wake up from his dream and realise it was a nightmare!,” he tweeted.
