The New Year is already blazing with new jams from Nigerian singers and we expect more from them and new collaboration later in the year.

While 2021 may be close to three weeks gone, there are still some songs from the year that are still blazing hot and gaining massive recognition in 2022.

1. Essence by Wizkid ft Tems

The Shizzy produced track further gained attention towards the end of the last year after English singer Ed Sheeran jumped on the song in what has been regarded as a massive collaboration.

3. Love Nwantiti by CKay

This is another Nigerian song like Essence by Wizkid that wasn’t released in 2021 in fact Love Nwantiti was released two years ago but gained massive attention in 2021 thanks to TikTok.

The song by Ckay would go on to top some songs by foreign artiste on international charts.

4. Somebody Son by Tiwa Savage ft Brandy

Nigerian music queen Tiwa Savage was not left out from the list of trending artists in 2021 as she dropped an EP dubbed Water and Garri with the most favourite track being Somebody Son.

The song featured Brandy and talks about the hope to find love soon, it was one of the best Nigerian song released in 2021.

5. Away by Ayra Starr

Mavin artiste Ayra Starr is one of the artists to look out for in 2022, and there are claims she could be getting a feature with Wizkid soon.

This was one of the biggest songs released in 2021. The Tempoe produced song was massive on social media with music lovers jumping on it.

8. For You by Teni ft Davido

The was one of the best love songs by Teni, released in 2021. For You is a track off her Wondaland album and happens to be one of the most popular tracks on the album.
