Nigerian Fuji singer Wasiu Alabi Pasuma in a recent statement, has dropped a hint on a collaboration with new and upcoming Afro singers.
Pasuma, who has worked with the likes of Olamide, Tiwa Savage, Qdot, among others, revealed he has ongoing projects with the likes of Fireboy DML, Buju, JoeBoy and Wizkid if possible.
Pasuma, 54, in an Interview with GoldmyneTV, said age is but a number and would not hinder him from infusing hip-hop to his fuji sound as he stressed that he and other Fuji singers are still relevant.
“I thank God that we’re not where were coming from, everything is moving on accordingly. And the music itself, Fuji music, our genre is still relevant and we the singers, the frontliners, we still there and are making it worthwhile. I just have to give thanks to God for making it possible for us to still be there and be relevant.
“I’m planning one with Buju. I’m planning one with Fireboy and Joeboy. If possible, if I see Wizkid. Because I’ve been trying to message to manager and him but we haven’t got the right response from them.
“So, trying to infuse Hip Hop into my Fuji is one thing I’ve been doing for a very long time and I won’t stop doing it. I still have many of them I want to collabo with,” Pasuma said to GoldmyneTV.
