Lojay, the Nigerian superstar, has achieved a remarkable milestone, crossing the impressive threshold of 250 million streams across all his credited tracks on Spotify.
Ever since the release of his hit single “Monalisa” in 2021, Lojay has soared to become one of the most celebrated figures in the Afrobeats scene. According to Wetalksounds, Lojay’s music has now been streamed over 250 million times on Spotify, with his recent EP, ‘Gangster Romantic,’ released earlier this year, amassing an impressive 25 million streams on the platform. Moreover, he collaborated with American superstar Chris Brown and Davido on the chart-topping hit ‘Sensational.’
In response to this significant achievement, Lojay expressed his gratitude and emphasized that he accomplished this feat independently, with the support of his dedicated team and, of course, his loyal fans. Taking to social media, he shared his thoughts, saying, “I feel blessed to have achieved this independently, with God, my amazing team, and you, my fans.”
Adding to his recent successes, the superstar recently graced the Apple Music Home Session, where he treated his audience to stripped-down renditions of some of his classic tracks. The Home Session EP, available in Spatial Audio, featured three unique acoustic performances by Lojay, including renditions of ‘Monalisa,’ ‘IYD,’ and a cover of Libianca’s ‘People.’
Lojay’s sophomore EP, ‘Gangster Romantic,’ boasts seven tracks and features collaborations with DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small. The artist’s remarkable milestone has garnered enthusiastic reactions from his fans, further solidifying his status as a rising star in the music industry.
