Asake Debut Album: All you need to know

Asake, also known as MR MONEY, is a Nigerian Afropop and Afrobeat musician signed to YBNL. Ahmed Ololade was born in the late 1990s in Lagos, Nigeria, to Yoruba parents. He is a lyricist and singer.
He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Obafemi Awolowo University’s Department of Theatre and Performing Arts in Ile-Ife, Osun State.
In 2020, he gained notoriety as his freestyle “Lady” went viral, prompting a huge response from various famous internet influencers such as Broda Shaggi, Sydney Talker, NastyBlaq, and others.

His venture into music was purely fortuitous, as he began as a dancer and worked with a variety of dance organizations and theatre companies in high school before dabbling in music.

Since his debut with his first song “Mr Money” in 2020, he has been a highly intentional and intriguing artiste, and he has been able to sustain that energy and fervour in his music.

The YBNL signee has had tremendous success since the publication of his debut EP, ‘Ololade Asake.’ With his debut album, he became the first musician to have two No. 1 songs on the Turntable Top 50.

Similarly, his most recent album, ‘Palazzo,’ on which he was featured by DJ Spinall, has received a lot of attention and praise. Following the success of his Burna Boy-assisted ‘Sungba’ remix, Asake has established himself as one of Nigeria’s hottest artists at the present.

This is his first album, and it promises to be a body of great work as always.

He also said that the album’s title will be ‘Mr Money With The Vibe‘ #MMWTV.

“I can’t wait to share my first ever Album with the world ‘MR MONEY WITH THE VIBE’ #MMWTV Coming soon” Asake tweeted on Wednesday 15th June, 2022.
