Kemi Filani News presents you with the list of 10 Nigerian music artists to watch out for in 2021.
It’s a new year, following the economic breakdown and social halt caused by the ravaging COVID-19 in 2020.
The list below comprises prediction of Nigerian stars that will go far and beyond in the year 2021 following their efforts in 2020. Enjoy below:
Liya
Liya is Davido’s newest signee and DMW’s first lady. Liya sounds like a combination of Tiwa Savage and Simi. She obviously sounds like she has lots of hits to offer and being in Davido’s corner? She’s about to blow, go ask Peruzi and others.
Bella Shmurda
The controversial fast rising singer will definitely ‘blow’ this year, well, unless it’s not yet his time. Bella sounds like a combination of Oristefemi and Qdot.
Barry Lane
Barry Lane could pass as Kendrick Lamar’s offspring. The voice, the tempo, the energy and the style. You can’t help but love this guy.
Mohbad
Mohbad is a version of Naira Marley with Akamu bars. Signed to Marlian record in 2019. His 2020 EP, Lights is very impressive. His ket track is “Ko Por Ke”
Jamopyper
Jamopyper sounds like Qdot with a Celestial church effect. He is super talented and his ‘blow’ phase is definitely at hand.
Bad Boy Timz
He shares similar vocals with Fuji artists, but his delivery shows that he grew up around a blend of sounds. He has an incredible way with hooks and he’s adaptable to incredible sonic changes.
Pandamonae
Namenj
Sounds like Jeremiah Gyang. His key track is “Rayuwata”. He’s coming from the North to blow our minds.
